The Polish Institute of Research and Development is a fund that was created in response to the existing financial gap in the Polish research and development sector. We support Polish scientists and entrepreneurs whose solutions are innovative, but the stage of their technology development is too early to find financial support from venture capital or industry. Commercialization of ideas at an early stage requires a series of work to confirm the commercial potential of the technology. The Polish Institute of Research and Development (PIBiR) is a fund aimed at supporting the commercialization of research results and their transfer to the economy. The purpose of PIBiR’s activities is to help scientists and entrepreneurs to develop innovative technology companies. We actively support our portfolio companies in gaining external funding for product development and international expansion.

RESISTANCE TO RADIATION

The linear attenuation factor of radioactive radiation for SulRock is 0,45. This number represents great resistance of our material for radiation and can be widely used in nuclear wastes disposal market. Typically used expensive lead has attenuation factor equal to 0,64. Based on this numbers 10 cm of lead wall can be substituted with 14 cm of SulRock in construction of radioactive barriers.
